Building and aircraft is not an impossible dream, it can be done! Have you ever dreamed of building an aircraft?
At AirVenture Australia 2019 this year, students with dreams set on an Aviation career are applying to be part of a team of up to 25 students from Years 11 to 12, who will build a "BushCat" Ultralight Aircraft from a kit onsite at the event.
This is a unique work experience program, a week long Aviation Engineering Work Experience Program, whose objective is to build an actual Recreational Aircraft from a kit. The team will be lead and supported by specialists in the field, and will include daily work hours with set breaks.
This event is held in Parkes, NSW, before and during the AirVenture Australia event in September 2019. Applications are open now. Visit the Careers and Stem Program page of the website to download and complete your application.
This experience will allow students to experience first-hand the skills and techniques needed to build an aircraft. The build is from a kit, the activity introduces students to aircraft design, maintenance practices and aircraft structures fabrication.
This program will provide a unique experience and would not be possible without the experts and Gold Sponsors of AirVenture Australia "Global Aviation Products" (GAP), "BushCat Australia" and technical representatives who will be joining us from South Africa from the manufacturer of the BushCat Aircraft "Rainbow SkyReach". We are very thankful and excited that these companies and staff and directors will be joining us to provide this aviation experience to the youth of Australia.
