Girls In Aviation Day (GIAD) is an Internationally trademarked day designed to connect, engage and inspire young girls (8-17) to explore the world of aviation and aerospace through hands-on activities, workshops and networking. The event enables the next generation of aviation enthusiasts to learn about flying, engineering, aircraft design and the pathways available to those interested in pursuing a career in the industry. In conjunction with AirVenture Australia, the 2018 GIAD will be held on Saturday, 22nd September 2018 at Cessnock Aerodrome, NSW during the 3-day aviation spectacular!
The national event will include a networking breakfast with guest speakers, VIP Tour of a RAAF Aircraft and a workshop in the seminar hall.
